Thank you very much for your help yesterday, the friendly conversation, and the spontaneous support with installing the update.
Entering the categories works smoothly, quickly, and without a hitch using the commands you explained.
I usually work automatically with the mouse, but as you described the procedure, it is much easier to do.
It’s really fun to work with jRep, and when the support is so fantastic, it’s even more so.
What our users say
Since then, I have benefited enormously from jRep.
In my opinion, it is the best I have come across so far.
I’m thrilled! I installed it on my Mac and my notebook.
It runs smoothly, is clearly laid out, well thought out, and easy to use.
jRep – simply brilliant!
I have been using jRep for many, many years now.
If I remember correctly, I was there pretty much from the very beginning.
So it’s high time I expressed my appreciation for this fabulous program!
First of all, I would like to mention the incredibly good service that Thorsten provides:
if something goes wrong, which fortunately is rarely the case, he is immediately on hand!
Within a short time, the problem was solved, which was mostly my fault, thanks to my lack of computer skills.
Thank you, Thorsten, for your patience!
And what also belongs here: suggestions from users that make sense are gratefully accepted and implemented!
Then there’s the program: anyone who loves the old masters and their reliable tools will also love this program!
Bönninghausen, Jahr, Boger, now even Rückert, plus Phatak and the extension created by von der Lieth, the BBC (similar to, but not identical with, the pocket card index) – it simply leaves nothing to be desired. From the “more modern corner,” Flury’s repertory with its additions and extensions of Kent’s rubrics is also interesting. Here you will find many signs and symptoms that you would otherwise search for in vain.
All these tools can be combined within a repertorization, which, however, requires a good knowledge of the individual tools,
which differ in detail in their methodological approaches. And how often does it make sense to combine two related rubrics, which are very similar in their meaning, into one rubric. A few clicks – and it’s done!
All repertories do not determine a remedy, but only a pool of remedies that are indicated and that are similar to the given case. If you like, you can look up these remedies in different materia medicae directly on your computer. Also interesting are all the details, the different colors that draw the eye to certain focal points. (However, antiquated fellows like me prefer to reach for the books…)
All that remains for me to do is to wish the program further distribution and the programmer, like Thorsten, long health and strength, so that this ingenious tool remains available to us!
In my opinion, jRep is the best homeopathy repertorization program, just like the Ritter Sport chocolate advertisement:
Simple, square, practical, good.
I hardly ever work with my Complete program anymore.
Homeopaths who work with Boger and Bönninghausen have been waiting a long time for this software.
Having the rubrics of these two great homeopaths so readily available is a real asset.
The ability to integrate your own rubrics and materia medica further enhances the already considerable benefits of the program.
It need not shy away from comparison with ‘major’ repertories, especially when those working with it have recognized that it is often not differentiation down to the thousandth degree that is important, but rather reduction and concentration on the essentials, or – in Hahnemann’s words the characteristic symptoms, that helps us in our search for the most suitable, healing remedy.
Thanks to a successful and user-friendly interface, users can quickly and easily get to work without having to think too much about the program.
Another positive aspect is the ongoing maintenance of the program and direct contact with the developers, which means that any errors that may occur – if any occur at all – are quickly resolved.
The simple upgrade to higher versions is also a success, as it does not require a complex (and risky – ‘Will it work afterwards or not?’) installation and therefore does not pose any risk of data loss.
Conclusion: A thoroughly recommendable program that I would not want to do without in my daily practice and that will also delight all those who have understood Bogers and Bönninghausen’s working methods and know how to use them or are on their way to doing so.
My wife and I have been using the jRep program for about a year now and are more than satisfied with it and totally thrilled!
Many thanks to Thorsten Stegemann and Stephan Räss for developing such an ingenious program.
On the one hand, there is the modularity and thus the choice of which repertories, etc. you want to use.
On the other hand, there is the logical structure of the program.
It is very easy, quick, and convenient to work with.
My special thanks go to Thorsten, who always (almost literally) answers questions about the installation and use of the program quickly.
This is unbeatable and unrivaled service!
Last month, I changed my PC operating system from Windows 10 to Linux.
Without Thorsten’s repeated efforts and intensive support, I would not have been able to get jRep running on my PC under Kubuntu on my own.
Thanks again to Thorsten for the great program and technical support!
As a practitioner of all three methods of repertorization (Kent, Boger, and Boenninghausen), I have been enthusiastic about this small but well-designed and user-friendly program since its first version.
The integration of the works of Boger and Boenninghausen, which I work with depending on the case, together with the Materia Medicae of the characteristics, results in a tool with which one can quickly and reliably obtain a pool of remedies from which one can then select the simile. Even when I work with one of the large Kent-based programs, I always have the jRep program running in the background.
I often search there for symptoms, especially from Boger’s works, that either do not exist in Kent (this is actually the case!) or that I would have to laboriously gather together from many small particular symptoms, whereas in Boger they are summarized as ‘wandering’, for example.
Or, in certain cases, I use the GA to pre-sort and narrow down the pool of remedies, and then quickly find the simile with a few detailed symptoms from Kent and MM.
However, in acute cases, I only work with jRep, where TTB or BBC help me reach my goal particularly quickly.
I am impressed by its user-friendliness and customization options, such as the ability to modify the repertories or MM, as well as its ongoing development with truly useful new features and enhancements.
Congratulations to the developers of this program. It demonstrates that “small” does not have to mean a loss of quality.
The new jRep is a very good development.
I find the synoptic options particularly helpful.
This means that for differential diagnostic clarifications, I really like to use the short descriptions by Boger, Bhania, or Stürmer with a simple mouse click.
This saves time, as there is no need to leaf through the relevant books.
I also particularly appreciate the loose combination of the Boger, Bönninghausen, and von der Lieth repertories.
Depending on the focus of the case, the program can ‘mix’ them together very well.
It was certainly an immense amount of work, but I think this repertory fills a gap.
Sometimes you don’t want to search for discrete symptoms (ComRep/Radar), but simply want to get a few suitable remedies suggested from a ‘bird’s eye view’.
jRep is the ideal program for me because I can work with it relatively quickly when the patient is sitting in front of me.
I think the combination of different modules is brilliant, and I can really recommend it to anyone who is interested in a repertory program. And the support provided by Thorsten Stegemann is super fast and straightforward.
I give it 5 stars. It couldn’t be better.
Almost two decades ago, I discovered jRep, a repertorization program that I am still completely enthusiastic about today.
In addition to its ease of use, I love the great flexibility in evaluation, as I can combine different authors and works in the repertorization. I also have the option of entering my own findings into jRep and accessing them at any time. At the same time, I always feel that Mr. Stegemann provides me with absolutely competent advice. In short: great service, highly user-friendly, and unbeatable in terms of flexibility and price.
Who needs more?
Repertorization and drug studies according to v. Bönninghausen and Boger with jRep
Now that computers have become an integral part of most areas of our daily lives, they have continued their triumphant advance into homeopathic practices in recent years and are now the preferred alternative to books for many therapists.
However, homeopathic computer programs share the chronic affliction of modern repertories: ‘pseudo-intellectual meteorism’ is the diagnosis, which is no surprise, given that every year they have to digest at least tens of thousands of additions, additional repertories from all eras of homeopathic history, and, more recently, so-called ‘modules’ that are supposed to transfer the working methods (and, so the hope is, the supposed successes) of contemporary homeopathy gurus to the computers of normal homeopaths.
Even though in recent years classics such as v. Bönninghausen have been digitally revived in this way, the vast majority of the respective program content—from candy-colored family affiliations to glowing miasmatic references to cute little flower pictures or beetle films revealing the supposed ‘signature’—is more than dispensable for work based on classical sources.
In recent years, it was primarily the computer version of Wolfgang Hennig’s revised ‘Therapeutisches Taschenbuch’ (Therapeutic Pocketbook) that demonstrated how small, streamlined, and intuitive programs can also facilitate genuine homeopathic work. Now, with ‘jRep’, a serious alternative has been available for some time. Thorsten Stegemann and Stephan Raess have succeeded in bringing repertorization and drug studies into such a compact form that ‘jRep’ runs fully not only on Windows, Mac, or Linux computers, but even on some modern high-end mobile phones or so-called ‘handhelds/PDAs’. – ‘homeopathy to go’, to use a buzzword of the moment …
Be that as it may, after the Java-based program has been installed without any problems, the user interface is clearly structured into different windows, which display the currently considered rubric with its remedies during repertorization and, if desired, transfer it into a standard tabular form.
The option to group together related rubrics is useful; in the latest version, it is even possible to edit rubrics and change them according to your own ideas. This makes it child’s play to add to or, if necessary, correct the integrated works after studying your own sources. Another window then shows the leading remedies in the selected materia medica during repertorization; double-clicking on any remedy.

These intuitive basic functions do not require you to pore over thick manuals or attend expensive weekend seminars – you can start working with homeopathy immediately after installation.
However, in order to really exploit all the subtleties of the program, it is worth taking the time to read through the excellent documentation—it is full of useful details that are helpful for daily work but not essential for using the program.
‘jRep’ has a modular structure in terms of content (and price).
The entire program can be downloaded from the website www.jRep.de and tested free of charge for four weeks. For permanent use, you will need to purchase the activation code sent by the publishers.
Should you have any questions or problems with this stable and refreshingly easy-to-use program, the two authors are available to provide reliable and prompt advice and assistance via e-mail.
Overall, ‘jRep’ is a little gem of a progra for therapists who strive to work with homeopathy in a source-oriented manner. After just a few days, it became indispensable in my practice and I would recommend it to every ‘true healing artist’.
In my practice, I work as often as possible according to the methods of v. Bönnighausen and Boger.
For electronic repertorization, I exclusively use jRep.
It is fast, easy to use, and allows me to combine repertorization and synopsis by directly displaying the materia medica. This means that I have everything I need to find the right remedy in most cases in ONE tool. The ability to mix rubrics from individual works (e.g., GA with SK rubrics) rounds off the whole thing for me and leads me quickly and reliably to the remedy I am looking for.
The absolute highlight, however, is the fact that jRep works fully on my PDA (a Sharp Zaurus). This means that I always have a complete and professional pocket-sized repertorization program with me (seminars, training courses, vacations).
I only work with jRep. It couldn’t be easier or more convenient. And it’s fun.
From day one, I was able to use it and work with it without any prior knowledge of the program.
As a computer novice, I was able to quickly resolve initial installation issues myself with the help of Thorsten Stegemann’s support team. I think it’s brilliant that MM is included in the program.
In short, it’s a practical tool for practical use. And it’s very affordable.
What I also like is that jRep is constantly being expanded, and every homeopath can contribute to this.
Excellent service—you always get a quick and thorough response to the rare problems that arise.
Good software—after many years and many programs, I am simply happy—
No more vague trial and error, but a clear method:
jRep lets me get back to the basics of homeopathy, and I can reliably and quickly get good remedy suggestions.
Ongoing support – there are occasional workshops that help me enjoy the finer points of the program.
There’s no faster or easier way to repertorize than with jRep!
Excellent search functions. Minimal typing. Women-friendly application 😉
jRep – for me, the best repertory program for daily homeopathic practice.
It includes all the important fundamental works by Hahnemann, Bönninghausen, Jahr, Boger, Kent, and others.
It has a modular structure that can be customized as needed, is easy to understand, and has a very clear layout.
Excellent support is available if you need help.
In short: I have been working with it for about 10 years – and my enthusiasm continues to grow!
Yes, this is how homeopathy works!
A big shout-out to the developer Thorsten Stegemann and his programmer Stephan Räss –
an unbeatable team!
I have been the owner of jRep in my homeopathic family practice for about 5 years.
The clear, self-explanatory, user-friendly operation makes it easy for me, even though I am not very computer savvy.
In fact, it’s really fun!
It saves me a lot of time, which I need for acute consultations.
The personal support from developer Thorsten Stegemann is extremely helpful to me—he even takes care of installing new updates for me!
He has never had to fix a real problem!
The fact that the MTB (Miasmatic Pocket Book by Peter Gienow) is included was essential for me and continues to be very helpful!
I am absolutely delighted with your program and completely thrilled; as I said, it is so much fun to work with and the work gets done so much faster and, above all, in a more relaxed manner that I wouldn’t want to be without it for a single day!
Thank you once again for your wonderful concept!
jRep – for me, the best repertory program for daily homeopathic practice, with all the important fundamental works by Hahnemann, Bönninghausen, Jahr, Boger, Kent, and others in a modular structure that can be customized as needed, easy to understand and very clearly organized, with excellent support when you need help.

jRep is a very easy-to-use, smart program for repertorization.
Very cleanly programmed, excellently maintained, runs very stably. The support team has always responded very quickly to me and solved all problems promptly. I repertorize very often in my practice and have been using one of the market leaders for many years. I have now switched completely to jRep and only use my old software to open old data records.
What I like most is that you can have a search window, the evaluation, and a window for the materia medica on the screen at the same time. This means you always have everything important in view. This ensures smooth work in everyday practice.
The technical side is just as important. jRep is a cleanly programmed, fully mature program without any teething problems. It runs very stably without hang-ups or crashes and is very compatible with Windows. My old software once damaged my Windows installation so badly during an update that I had to reinstall the computer.
That can hardly happen with jRep. Installation and updates were always quick and easy and caused no problems.
Kudos to the developers.
Until now, there were no large repertories available for jRep. Now that the latest version comes with the Complete Repertory, jRep is an absolute must-have. The only thing missing for my taste is a large materia medica; I would prefer the German Clarke. But even so, jRep is the best program on the market for me.
I would like to thank you once again for your time-consuming consultation!
I really appreciate it and think you offer an excellent service!
I feel very well looked after!
Otherwise, I am extremely satisfied with the program.
It is very intuitive, easy and quick to use, I can easily deal with urgent cases ‘in between’ during consultation hours, and I am very pleasantly surprised by the success rate of my prescriptions over the last few weeks.
Keep up the good work!
During the first few years of my practice, I worked exclusively with radar synthesis and EH.
I had some great successes, but I wasn’t really satisfied.
Since 2013, I have been studying the classics more intensively.
Thanks to Heiner Frei, Eckart von Seherr-Thohs, and Matthias Richter, I became familiar with the approaches of Bönninghausen and Boger.
With its modules, the jRep program offers something unparalleled on the computer repertorization market.
It even allows for polarity analysis.
I am impressed by the constant further development and excellent support.
Repertories only give hints—but here, everyone can get them from the authors wherever they want and can also search for the appropriate materia medica right away.
If you want to quickly look something up while on the go, you can do so with jRep-Web.
I would like to thank everyone involved for these tools and am delighted that colleagues such as Roland Methner support this (his cancer repertory is included free of charge).
I think the comparison of the materia medica of two remedies, plus the function of reading different authors for the same remedy, is terrific. I have many books at home, but I have never looked at more than three materia medica at a time.
In jRep, the switch is so elegant that I reviewed all the authors for Lachesis at once.
Superbly done!
For me, jRep is simply a brilliant way to perform repertorization on a PC.
The simplicity of this program’s operation and its openness, which allows for expansion and continuous growth of content and functions, are particularly noteworthy. I simply enjoy working with this program—not to mention that I am enthusiastic about it.
After a long search for repertorization software, especially for analysis according to Boger and Bönninghausen, I came across jRep, which was the first program to completely win me over.
As a veterinarian, flexibility is extremely important to me in homeopathy software, in addition to functionality that allows me to work comfortably.
And that is exactly what Thorsten Stegemann offers with jRep, both technically and personally, thanks to his outstanding support.
For those who are committed to the Boger and Bönninghausen methodology, there is virtually no real alternative to jRep, especially not at this price.
